Hello and Welcome!
I was hard at work during the month of January, launching Woodland Floral. I have considered myself a florist for some time now. I have worked in 2 flower shops and provided floral services to friends and family for their weddings and events for years. But officially launching a floral business was a daunting task. Last month I spent hours working with my daughter to get our website up and running, writing contracts for upcoming weddings I recently booked, finding the best way to draft proposals and price my services, purchasing supplies, working with wholesalers and so much more.
I am thrilled at the response I have received from the Sisters, Oregon and Bend communities. With every bride I meet with, with every proposal I write, with every compliment I receive on my designs, the more confident I feel that Woodland Floral can succeed and that I have found my creative calling.
And now another exciting development, the launch of the Woodland Floral Blog! Sometimes I will blog about my experience starting and managing a local woman-owned business. From time to time I will showcase a wedding featuring our floral designs. Occasionally I will provide floral tips for brides planning a wedding. This blog is a way for me to connect with a community that has supported me in this endeavor. I look forward to keeping you up to date on what is happening with Woodland Floral.
